Police Actively Searching for Suspect in Hanalei Homicide

LĪHU‘E – Police are continuing their search for William “Billy” Sinclair, 51, in connection with a homicide that occurred Saturday morning in Hanalei.
Sinclair is associated with a motorcycle described as a black, low-rider Harley-Davidson bearing Hawai‘i license plate 596-XPC. He was last observed in the Kapaʻa area wearing a black leather vest with blue lettering on the chest, a blue and black face covering, and carrying a brown and black backpack.
Sinclair is considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public are advised not to approach him if seen and to contact law enforcement immediately. Sinclair is 5 feet 9 inches tall, medium build, with brown eyes and black hair.
The Kauaʻi Police Department reminds the public that anyone who helps Sinclair avoid arrest may face prosecution for hindering prosecution in the first degree, punishable by up to five years in prison. Assistance includes transportation, money, shelter, weapons, disguise or any means of evading law enforcement.
The Kauaʻi Police Department is utilizing all available resources to locate and apprehend Sinclair.
