Police Seek Public’s Help to Locate Missing 12-year-old

March 1 Update: 12-year-old Zaylynn-Zayda Adric-Belmonte was located at a residence in Eastvale, California, at approximately 2:00 a.m. PST (Pacific Standard Time) on March 1, 2026. She is in good health and has been taken into protective care.

KPD detectives tracked leads indicating Zaylynn was in California and coordinated with out-of-state law enforcement and partner agencies to locate her.

KPD extends its appreciation to the Hawai‘i Department of the Attorney General (Missing Child Center Hawai‘i), the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, the California Highway Patrol, other partner agencies, and members of the public for their assistance and collaboration.

The investigation remains ongoing.

LĪHU‘E – The Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 12-year-old girl.

Zaylynn-Zayda Adric-Belmonte, 12, of Kīlauea, has been reported missing. She is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 115 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. Clothing at the time she went missing is unknown.
