LĪHU‘E  – The Kaua‘i Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), sponsored by the County of Kaua‘i Agency on Elderly Affairs, invites the public to a Day of Service and Remembrance on Thursday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center in Līhu‘e.

This special event will bring the community together to honor the lives lost and the heroes of September 11, 2001, while also highlighting the values of service, resilience, and unity.

The program will include guest speakers, recognition of Kaua‘i’s RSVP “Gold” Volunteers, live entertainment, prize giveaways, and opportunities to take part in meaningful acts of service, such as writing notes of appreciation to Kaua‘i’s first responders.

“This day is about remembering and honoring, but also about acting in solidarity as a community,” said Andrea Alfiler, Director of Kaua‘i RSVP. “Through service, we connect with each other and with the values of compassion and resilience. We welcome everyone to join us—to show gratitude, to stand together, and to experience the joy of giving back.”
