Recycling and waste diversion grant applications available

LĪHU‘E – The Solid Waste Division is now accepting grant applications for projects that increase recycling and waste diversion consistent with recommendations put forward in the most recent Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan Update https://www.kauai.gov/ISWMP.

A total of $40,000 is available in the new competitive grant program open to 501(c)3 non-profits.

Project examples include diverting food waste and recyclables from the landfill, reuse programs, upcycling projects, and other programs directly related to recycling and waste diversion.
