LĀWA‘I - The Department of Public Works and its contractor The Cutting-Edge Land Clearing Solutions are announcing lane closures and road closures along portions of Wawae Road from July 22 to July 24. All work is weather permitting.
From July 22 to July 23, the contractor will be performing lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with intermittent 15–30-minute full road closures throughout the work day.
On July 24, a portion of Wawae Road will be fully closed, from Kaumuali‘i Highway to near the vicinity of its intersection with Wawae Place, from 8 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The closures are necessary for the public’s safety and to allow The Cutting-Edge Land Clearing Solutions to trim and remove trees growing along the roadway.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary closures and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
