Suspect Arrested in Kapa‘a Stabbing Incident

LĪHUʻE – A suspect has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Kapa‘a on Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, Apr. 2, 2025, at approximately 8:40 a.m., officers with the Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred in the parking lot of the Kapa‘a Shopping Center. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 75-year-old man had been attacked with a knife. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds and was transported to Wilcox Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition.

The suspect, identified as 76-year-old Ivo Miller, a man with no known permanent address, was taken into custody without incident. Miller was arrested for Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree and Assault in the First Degree. He remains in KPD cellblock with bail set at $100,000.

KPD would like to thank the bystanders who intervened and provided assistance to the victim during the incident.
