Two Suspects Arrested in Connection with Sexual Assault Case

LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) has arrested two men in connection with a sexual assault case involving two juveniles that occurred earlier this month in Hanamā‘ulu.
The incident was reported on June 3, 2025. Following an investigation by KPD officers, 28-year-old Rober Clement and 27-year-old Patelo Paseka were identified as suspects. Arrest warrants were subsequently issued for both individuals for the offense of Sexual Assault in the First Degree, with bail set at $100,000 each.
Clement was arrested on Friday, June 20, and Paseka was taken into custody on Monday, June 23.
“I want to commend our detectives for their outstanding work on this case,” said Chief Kalani Ke. “They started with very little information or leads, but through persistence and skilled investigation, they identified and arrested those responsible. We are proud of their work and grateful for the support of our federal partners.”
The United States Marshals Service assisted in the apprehension of one of the suspects.
“We remain firmly committed to supporting the Kaua‘i Police Department and the community in holding violent offenders accountable,” said Justin Davis, United States Marshal for the District of Hawai‘i. “Our ongoing partnership with KPD reflects our shared dedication to protecting the most vulnerable in our communities.”
