LĪHUʻE – Travis Bonachita, 24, of Kōloa, who was wanted by the Kauaʻi Police Department for assaulting a police officer, surrendered today.
Bonachita turned himself in Saturday, Jan. 13, at approximately 12 p.m. and was arrested without incident on the following offenses based on a warrant: Attempted Assault First Degree, Prohibited Place to Keep Pistol or Revolver, Carrying Loaded Firearm on Highway, Ownership Possession Prohibited, Criminal Property Damage First Degree. Bonachita is currently being held at KPD cellblock with bail set at $45,000.
“We would like to thank the community for their vigilance and assistance in apprehending Bonachita peacefully,” said Kennison Nagahisa, Acting Captain of KPD’s Investigative Services Bureau.
Travis Bonachita, 24, turned himself in on Jan. 13 in connection with an assault case.
