KEKAHA - The Department of Water (DOW) has scheduled a water service shutdown on Elepaio Road on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting.
The shutdown is necessary to install a single service lateral and a new hydrant valve, and to upgrade a hydrant lateral. These improvements will enhance water system reliability and fire protection in the area.
Customers are advised to plan accordingly, store enough water for household needs during the shutdown period, and avoid using appliances that require water. Do not let your water heater empty. Once water service is restored, DOW crews will flush the system through an open hydrant, followed by road repair work.
