Update: Arrest Made in Ongoing Kōloa Burglary Investigation

LĪHU‘E  – The Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) has made an arrest in connection with a series of burglaries that occurred last month at the Righteous Roots Smoke Shop in Kōloa. The incidents took place during the early morning hours on July 10, July 15, and July 25, 2025, resulting in the theft of merchandise valued at several thousand dollars.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, officers arrested Donald Clement, a 20-year-old man from Līhu‘e, for three counts of Burglary in the Second Degree and an outstanding $150 bench warrant for Failure to Appear.  

On Thursday, August 21, 2025, a minor was detained for their involvement in two of the three burglaries. In accordance with juvenile privacy laws, the identities of minors will not be disclosed.

While these developments mark significant progress in the case, the investigation remains ongoing.
