Bobilee Silva Recognized as July’s Officer of the Month

LĪHU‘E – The Kaua’i Police Department (KPD) recognized Bobilee K. Silva as July’s Officer of the Month at the Kaua’i Police Commission meeting held on Friday, July 24, 2026.
KPD commended Officer Silva for her exceptional performance in the role over the past year, while assigned to the Waimea District, Waimea Days Watch. She showed a high level of initiative and dedication by proactively engaging with the community through traffic enforcement, service of legal documents, responding to calls for service, and carrying out other community-oriented policing activities.
During this period of time, she made 62 arrests, including five felony arrests and 57 misdemeanor arrests. She issued 519 citations, including 130 for moving violations and 147 warning citations. These warning citations form part of her efforts to educate the community and promote public safety.
Additionally, Officer Silva initiated and executed one search warrant and prepared three arrest warrants. This demonstrates her commitment to thorough investigations and effective law enforcement practices.
Beyond her regular duties, Officer Silva is commended for her willingness to support KPD in other areas, by taking on extra shifts in Patrol, Cell Block, and the Dispatch Call Center. These actions exemplify strong teamwork.
