Disabled Parking Permits

Applications for permanent or temporary disabled parking permits are available at the Kauai Driver License office or you may download and print the application:

Completed applications must be submitted in person to the disabled parking permit office located at:

You will be required to provide proper identification.

To renew your permanent disabled parking permit (blue placards), completed application and a copy of your identification must be mailed to:

First time applicants or renewing the temporary (red) placards must present the completed application to the Kauai Driver License Division with proper identification. Your expired parking placard and identification card must be surrendered at time of renewal.

Fees are:

• Temporary Placards (1 month to 6 months): $12.00
• Permanent Placards (blue, valid for 6 years): No Charge
• Replacement / Lost / Mutilated Placards: $12.00

Disabled parking permits issued by other states are honored in the state of Hawaii.
