Administration

Description

This bureau provides administrative assistance for all programs in the Kauaʻi Fire Department, maintains all emergency response vehicles and equipment, ensures all personnel matters are addressed properly, enforces all department's budget regulations and SOG's through an effective management program and manages the department's budget.

Objectives

1. To plan and administer programs that effectively work towards achieving the department's mission and accomplishing its goals.
2. To maintain and repair Fire Department vehicles and equipment, to ensure their proper and sound mechanical condition for safe emergency response. In order to do this, the department hopes to develop a repair and maintenance shop for the Fire Mechanic.
3. To provide effective management that encourages and promotes "teamwork" throughout the Kauaʻi Fire Department
4. To develop a fire based emergency medical services program in the Kauaʻi Fire Department for the County of Kauaʻi.
