High Wind Warning to go into effect for Kaua‘i 6 a.m. Sunday

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for the island of Kaua‘i going into effect 6 a.m. Sunday, February 8, through 6 p.m. Monday, February 9. The watch may be extended, dropped or modified as conditions develop.

LĪHU‘E — Personnel from the Kaua‘i Fire Department rescued a 27-year-old male New York visitor from Kalalau Trail on Wednesday, February 6, with an apparent ankle injury.
