Agricultural Dedication Petition deadline is July 3

LĪHU‘E – The Department of Finance Real Property Assessment office would like to remind the public that the deadline for filing new Agricultural Dedication Petitions is July 1. However, because July 1 falls on a weekend, applicants will be able to submit their petitions on or before July 3, 2023, to be considered for the upcoming 2024 Assessment.

This program provides a Real Property tax incentive in exchange for a 5-year commitment to commercial farming.

For more information, visit www.kauai.gov/realproperty and click on the “Forms & Handouts” tab, where you will find the form “Petition to Dedicate Agricultural Land to Commercial Farming.” Petition forms may also be submitted via the county-wide Land Information Management System (LIMS). Online submissions can be accessed at Connect.Kauai.gov.
