KPD asks for public’s assistance locating missing Līhu‘e man

LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing adult male.

William Birkholz, age 76, of Līhu‘e, was reported missing on Monday, Mar. 18, 2024. Birkholz was last seen near Nāwiliwili Small Boat Harbor on Saturday, Mar. 16, 2024.

Birkholz is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds and has blue eyes and grey hair. He is known to frequent the beach area known as Kitchens and Lydgate Beach Park.

Anyone with information about Birkholz’s whereabouts on Kaua‘i is urged to call KPD Dispatch at 241-1711. Those wishing to remain anonymous can provide information by calling Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at 808-246-8300, submitting a tip at cskauai.org, or through the Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i P3 Tips Mobile App.
