KPD seeks assistance from the public in locating runaway juvenile

Apr. 23 UPDATE: Gonsalves returned to his family safely Monday night, Apr. 22. No injuries were reported. KPD would like to thank the community for their support during the search.

LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a runaway juvenile.

Caleb K. Gonsalves, a 16-year-old resident of Līhu‘e, was reported missing on Apr. 17, 2024. He was last seen in the Līhu‘e area, wearing a gray hoodie jacket and a red baseball hat.

Gonsalves is 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has a fair complexion, black hair and is of Portuguese decent. 

He is known to frequent the Līhu‘e and Puhi areas.  

Anyone with information about Gonsalves’ whereabouts is urged to contact KPD Dispatch at 808-241-1711.
