KPD seeks public’s assistance locating missing man

Mar. 9 2024 UPDATE: Austin T. Armstrong, 34, was located this morning and is safe. The Kaua‘i Police Department thanks the community for their assistance.

LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing adult male.

Austin T. Armstrong, age 34, of Hanapepe, was reported missing on Friday, Mar. 8, 2024. Armstrong was last seen on Thursday, Mar. 7, 2024, and is known to be operating a 2000 Black Toyota 4Runner multi-purpose vehicle bearing the license plate KSR 277.

Armstrong is approximately 6 feet tall, weighs approximately 165 pounds, has green eyes and long blonde curly hair. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray surf shorts. He is known to frequent the Hanapēpē area, as well as beaches on the western side of the island including Polihale Beach. 

Anyone with information about Armstrong’s whereabouts on Kaua‘i is urged to call KPD Dispatch at 241-1711. Those wishing to remain anonymous can provide information by calling Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at 808-246-8300, submitting a tip at cskauai.org, or through the Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i P3 Tips Mobile App.
