Kapa‘a man dies after being struck by a vehicle

KAPA‘A – A 56-year-old man has died from injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle on Kahuna Road.

On Apr. 11, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 56-year-old man was struck by a vehicle on Kahuna Road. The man was transported to the Wilcox Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

He has been identified as Christopher Harm of Kapa‘a. An autopsy was conducted and is pending results.

On Apr. 15, at approximately 3 p.m., police arrested Jacob Saylor, a 43-year-old man of Kīlauea, in connection with the incident. Saylor was arrested for the offense of Negligent Homicide in the First Degree and is currently being held at KPD cellblock. His bail is set at $500,000.
