LĪHUʻE – A 33-year-old man has died from injuries sustained after being struck by an unknown vehicle on Kūhiō Highway in Līhu‘e on Mar. 22.
He has been identified as Matthew Ornellas of Kapa‘a.
This is Kaua‘i’s fourth traffic fatality of 2024.
The investigation remains ongoing and no arrest has been made at this time. KPD strongly encourages anyone who may have information about this incident to do the right thing and come forward.
