Portion of Kalena Park closed through May 13

LĪHU‘E – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) is announcing a portion of Kalena Park in Līhu‘e will be closed through May 13 for construction, weather permitting.
The nonprofit Group Na Lei Wili Area Health Education Center is the sub-recipient of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and was awarded over $259,000 to be used for playground replacement, replacing the chain link fence with concrete ball barriers, and adding parking stops.
The general contractor for the project is ExerPlay. Mahalo to the Housing Agency for managing the CDBG grant.
