HANAPEPE - The Department of Water (DOW) has issued an immediate water conservation notice for the Hanapepe-Ele'ele service area due to an issue affecting the system's pump station. Water tank levels are extremely low and customers may experience low water pressure to no water service. Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as cooking, drinking and sanitation to avoid a full water service outage.

Water conservation measures include turning off fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems and refraining from outdoor recreational water uses.

An update will be provided when the conservation notice has been lifted.
