Water service shutdown in Kapa’a scheduled for May 6 - POSTPONED

The Department of Water (DOW) announces the postponement of the previously scheduled May 6 water service shutdown on Kaulana Road, a portion of Kihei Road, and a portion of Haleilio Road.

KAPA’A – The Department of Water (DOW) announces a water service shutdown on Kaulana Road, a portion of Kihei Road, and a portion of Haleilio Road on Monday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.  Water service will be turned off to allow contractor Kaiwa Construction, Inc., to perform work on a waterline as part of the Department of Transportation’s Kuamo’o Road Emergency Repairs Project. 

Customers located in the service area are advised to prepare for the shutdown by taking the following steps: 

  • Store water to meet your needs until water service can be restored.
  • Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that their water heater does not empty during the shutdown.
  • Notify neighbors, family and friends about the water service shutdown. 

Door notices are being delivered to customers in the affected areas.
