BJB Courts to be closed for construction March 17 to Sept. 2025

KAPA‘A – The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that the dual use tennis and pickleball courts, and basketball courts at Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex will be closed for resurfacing from March 17 through September 2025, weather permitting.

The work, contracted to Pacific Concrete Cutting & Coring, Inc., is part of the County’s $3.1 million Playcourt Resurfacing Project, which also includes improvements at Wailua Homesteads, Wailua Houselots Park, and Puhi Park.

The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks the public for their patience and understanding.

Additional updates to the Playcourt Resurfacing Project include the completion of resurfacing work and the reopening of the basketball and dual-use tennis and pickleball courts at Wailua Homesteads, as well as the Wailua Houselots tennis and pickleball courts. Construction work is ongoing for the Wailua Houselots basketball court and is expected to be completed by April 9. Work on the Puhi Park tennis and basketball courts is also ongoing and is expected to be completed by June 13.
