County of Kaua‘i launches new live auction system

LĪHU‘E – The County of Kauaʻi is pleased to announce the launch of its new Live Auction Platform, offering residents and businesses the opportunity to bid on surplus County property in a more convenient, transparent, and year-round format.

Residents are encouraged to visit the County website at www.kauai.gov/auction, click on “NEW Surplus Live Auction,” and register with “Public Surplus Registration” to participate in upcoming auctions. Additional details and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are available on the County’s auction information page.

This new system replaces the previous annual closed-bid process and will be hosted through Public Surplus with payment processing provided by PayMac, Inc. The live auctions will feature a continually updated selection of items from various departments, available to the public as they become eligible for auction.

• More timely turnover of County assets
