KEKAHA – The Solid Waste Division announces that the Kekaha Landfill will be closed to commercial haulers on Friday, September 29.
This closure is necessary to accommodate computer upgrades at the landfill’s scale house, including the installation of cabling for the workstation and scales, replacement of the server, and configuration of serial and parallel ports.
The landfill will remain open to residential customers on this day, as residential vehicles do not use the scale.
Normal operations will resume on Saturday, September 30. The Kekaha Landfill’s regular commercial hours are daily from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and residential hours are daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a lunch break from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
