Water service shutdown on a portion of Olohena Road on August 7

KAPAʻA – The Department of Water (DOW) announces a water service shutdown on a portion of Olohena Road on Thursday, August 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting. Water service will be turned off to allow contractor Earthworks Pacific Inc. to perform a water line relocation in the area. 

Customers located in the affected area are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps: 

  • Store enough water to meet your needs until water service can be restored;
  • Notify family, friends, tenants and neighbors;
  • Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that their water heaters do not empty during the shutdown.
