Curbside recycling services are currently not offered to residents by the County as part of refuse service. The County is currently working with consultants to evaluate the economic feasibility of providing curbside recycling services and a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) that sorts commingled recyclables, enabling the County to collect all types of food and beverage containers, as well as mixed paper and cardboard, in a single blue recycling bin at your curb. This study will assist the County in determining the future direction of a potential curbside recycling program. The study will also consider the possibility of sending bales of mixed recyclables off-island for sorting.
