The Department of Public Works and its contractor are announcing road closures and single-lane contraflow traffic patterns for portions of Oni Place, Panui Street, and Maikai Street in Kalaheo, from May 12 to 15, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only to avoid a water service outage.

DOW announces 50-gallon rain barrel grand prize drawing and food drive

LĪHUE – In honor of Earth Day 2025, the Department of Water (DOW) announces a rain barrel grand prize drawing in April. A rain barrel is a container that captures and stores rainwater from the roof. The collected rainwater is a valuable source for gardening. A total of three, 50-gallon rain barrels will be given away, to encourage water conservation outdoors and help customers save money.
