  • Kauaʻi Fentanyl Task Force a community coalition focused on preventing fentanyl from becoming an epidemic and supporting treatment and recovery efforts on the island.

Projects

Life's Choices Kauaʻi offers effective substance abuse prevention strategies, education, and programs that are school and community based, including:

  • Coordinated Activities proclamations in collaboration with the Office of the Mayor and community organizations and agencies to raise awareness for various causes including child abuse, underaged drinking, human trafficking, and crime victims.
  • Ola Pono O Kauaʻi Annual mental health conference in collaboration with Kauaʻi Rural Health Association, Kauaʻi Resilience Project, Kauaʻi Planning and Action Alliance, Department of Health, Kauaʻi Community College, and Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation.

  • Grant Funding for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Treatment Programs annual funding for licensed treatment providers
